My TBR goal for 2019

Hey guys!

Like most book-nerds, I’m a book collector, and I’ve been pretty serious about it since about 2010. That was when I fell in love with Young Adult fiction and manga. It was also conveniently around the time that Borders and Angus and Robertson’s were closing!

In my head I’ve seen book collecting as being one of my passions. I smile to myself blissfully when I think of my future in which I can share the books I love with my family and friends.
ANYWAY, the point is, I’ve collected a ton of books and some have been on my shelves since forever ago. Some of them are a little newer but I want a headstart on attacking my TBR!  I decided 2019 was going to be the year I read all of these books I’ve had in the back of my mind constantly jabbing at me to read them 😉
However, I actually thought I may as well start right now in December to tackle these books!

The Rules:
– 3 books a month minimum. That’s the set goal, so other than that, I have total free reign over whatever I want to read
– Ideally if I put series on that list (and I did – there’s a lot!) I should read all of them, whether it’s in that particular month or the following. (FYI, 9/10 times I don’t own the whole series, but I want to finish them anyway)

The List:
(I’ve already decided the first two months, but the rest I’ll figure out the month before!)

– We All Looked Up by Tommy Wallach
– Magonia by Maria Dahvana Headley
– The Originals by Cat Patrick

  • A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray
  • Liar by Justine Larbalestier
  • The Shadow Thief by Alexandra Adornetto

Months undecided:
– Angel by L.A. Weatherly
– The Game of Love and Death by Martha Brockenbrough
– Paper Valentine by Brenna Yovanoff
– The Madman’s Daughter by Megan Shepherd
– Starters by Lissa Price
– The Sound by Sarah Alderson
– Spellcaster by Claudia Gray
– Article 5 by Kristen Simmons
– The Glimpse by Claire Merle
– Graveminder by Melissa Marr
– Crewel by Gennifer Albin
– Beautiful Dead by Eden Maguire
– Dark Angel by Eden Maguire
– The Vampire Diaries by L.J. Smith
– Skinned by Robin Wasserman
– The Assassin’s Curse by Cassandra Rose Clarke
– Virals by Kathy Reichs
– Hunting Lila by Sarah Alderson
– Love is the New Black by Chrissie Perry
– Atlanta by Ally Condie
– Zombie Blondes by Brian James
– The Dolls by Kiki Sullivan
– Tempest by Julie Cross
– The Immortal Rules by Julie Kagawa
– Talon by Julie Kagawa
– Pawn by Aimee Carter
– Sea of Shadows by Kelley Armstrong
– Tides by Betsy Cornwell
– Severed Heads, Broken Hearts by Robyn Schneider
– Halo by Alexandra Adornetto

That’s the first plan of attack! I actually have a ‘spillover’ list which are some other really important older books I have on my shelves I need to get to, but are only for if I’ve already completed my set 3 books for the month. If you’re interested, I can do another post on those books!
Feel free to do the same challenge for your own books 🙂
